Hey, Janet here thanks for stopping by.
I want new posts on this blog every week day, but we will see how it goes. With Godly and family responsibilities, as well as working on a few projects, God has me busy. However, God has not given me more than I can handle in this season; I will following God’s leading on the amount of posts I will be posting and when to post them. <3
But today, I am looking back at what the Lord did for us in 2017… in photos. I hope to make this a yearly tradition.
Imagery is a very power tool. You can have more instagram likes than on any other social media because pictures just stick!
Enjoy as much as we have in looking back in time.

My friends and church community came together to throw me a Christ-centered baby shower, mixed with a Young Adult Fellowship where we studied the Word of God.
I was hoping by March I would have gotten my spouse visa and deliver our daughter Hannah, in the U.K. but it didn’t happen like that. Everything works together for good. My sweet husband joined via video call. He is so supportive!
Since starting University in 2008, and transferring to Saint Johns in 2009, I finally graduated in December 2017. This is me getting my cap and gown, and taking graduation pictures a month before I was due! My face is so swollen 😀 My graduation ceremony was two days after my due date. So I couldn’t go, but my name was called on stage. YAY!
The Lord kept my husband in good health being by himself in the UK, and we were finally reunited again in the beginning of May. We booked into a hotel for a night as our babymoon (a vacation before baby comes). We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. We also had our maternity shoot. Shout-out to Emma for being our photographer and of course my multi-talented husband takes the camera and starts snapping Hannah and I. 🙂
Baby Hannah is born.
From my Birth Story you know my labour and delivery was so fast, not many pictures could be taken in delivery. We get to the ‘Baby and Me’ part of the maternity ward, on the second night Overlook Hospital gives a free dinner to the parents of newborns to help celebrate the success of bringing in a new life to the world. How wonderful!
The joy of our lives!
Marriage was never about me alone, but about God using me to love my husband and now my child. Newborn smiles and daddies swaddle game was on point!
Hannah’s naming ceremony held in my Parent’s home.
I am grateful for both my mom and Dad’s support of my growing family. Also, our church in New Jersey, Deeper Life Bible Church, I am so grateful for their support. So many people came to Hannah’s naming ceremony after work that weekday. We pray God really rewards their labour of love.
Hannah’s first Sunday in church and re-dedication to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
She was dedicated right from the womb.
Our first event under one of the ministries God lead us to create, Kingdom Love Connect.
We believe the focus as Christ followers and believers should be the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God should be manifested here on earth. The purpose of KLC (Kingdom Love Connect) is to
‘Inspire generations to discover and embrace purpose through Kingdom Love Culture’.
This event helped garner lessons learned about Kingdom living, where our true identity and purpose stems from.

God is faithful. We moved into our first home together in the beginning of 2017.
I finally got to step foot inside when we all travelled back as a family to the U.K in June. Hannah has been to 3 countries before she was even 1 month old. On our way to the U.K. we stopped-over in Canada. 😀
I enjoyed as a single taking the children I cared for to various children’s groups. Now God has blessed us with a child, we enjoy taking Hannah to some infant groups. This is us at baby massage. Hannah and my husband swim together on Saturday mornings at a Chapter 1 Waterbabies class.
We attended the Annual U.K. Deeper Life Bible Church Conference in Wales, UK.
We also celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary during the conference on Sunday August 6th, 2017. It was a beautiful time of revival and reflection.
Seeing how our first-born resembles us at birth! So fun! Hannah at 3 months.
My mom makes her way to the UK on a layover from Nigeria. She visits us in our home. What a wonderful trip and it was a pleasure to host her!
People were so happy and surprised on social media at this photos of my husband determined to do my hair.
Loves bears all and shows all. I love my beloved and my beloved loves me. He is definitely getting better lol. He wants to save money from all the hair spending costs in the future! He also loves and encourages me to take care and wear ONLY my natural hair out the home no matter the funky hair mood I may be in. 😀
My husband and I both made some awesome friends outside of our church community, those we knew from work, and our previous living accommodation in 2016.
I joined a woman’s Tuesday morning non-denominational bible study and met Christa (pictured in the photo above) who has been an awesome friend in the faith. We have since had dinner with many more friends. Grateful for community and accountability.
Lastly, we rounded the year with a week-long holiday in London attending a December Retreat and seeing a few friends and family in the Lord. We then brought in the New Year as a family at home in prayer.
Thanks for reflecting through our 2017 year with us. We are not boasting but are grateful for God’s goodness in providing for our every need! Lord we thank you!
